Interior/door lights.

Trying to add interior leds where you place your feet. I want them to come on only when the door opens. I see the wire on the door light is blue and red. I loose the wire once i pull down the the cover under the steering column. Anyone can help me locate the proper wire to tap into. Thanks a million.
