In January 2022, a 2014 QX80 recently replaced my beloved 1996 Toyota Series 80 Landcruiser, which I had owned and cherished for 19 years. Despite all the health problems that emerged towards the end of its life, I loved that car and did everything I could to keep it alive. Afterall, it was the least I could do to repay it for the years of proud and faithful service it had given me. It was a great horse. History has proven that the Series 80 LC was a truly great breed.

Tragically, that car and my mother-in-law died within 24 hours of each other, and both, felt like a great loss to the families and people that had loved them and lived with them. You know, I have always believed that when cars replaced horses, we didn't stop treating them like beings that had any less personality, charm or capability than their predecessors. Afterall, car engines (most engines for that matter) are measured in horsepower. Perhaps a testament to the deep connection humankind has had with their horses.

And so it was, that the Landcruiser's ending became a 2014 Infinity QX80's beginning. One year into this relationship, the 'purple bus' with a 400HP, 5.6L engine is firmly positioned to become a family member that will be well worth loving. The Infinity is definitely proving itself to be noble breed, and that is why I am here. Thank you for having me so that we can share our horse stories.

On an end note, I would like to apologize for this long-winded introduction, and add, that my beloved 1996 LC is being restored by the shop that sold me the QX80. It will live again...
