Why Infiniti is so slow adapting new technology on their cars?

  1. Infiniti Puerto Rico came with a full functional Navigation on 2012, while other manufacturers had it since 2 or 3 years before.
  2. Audio streaming was only available on Nav feature.
  3. Rear power lift gate door came a year ago (my father 2005 Lexus has it)
  4. Auto sensing wiper not standard.

I love my FX, but I will look more up today features on my next car.

Huh? lol

Navigation has been around on Infiniti since the early 2000's when they released the Q45 and I series.

Auto rain sensing wipers aren't standard on any car (or most). You always pay extra for that kind of stuff. It comes in the tech package. I have mine and find it annoying sometimes.

Infiniti isn't slow to adapting technology in their cars lol. I think you need to get the technology package to actually see how far ahead they are from other vehicle manufacturers. Their actually ahead of their time.

Let the other manufacturers pay for the iOS 6 Beta. Then Infiniti can come in for or little or no $ at that time. That's how it works - Apple sure as hell isn't giving anything way for free...and I am a 100% Apple user - MacBook Pro, iPhone and iPad. But jeez, Apple is expensive for a partner, just as it is for a consumer.

My sisters Lexus, she can look up an address on her iphone and then send it to her cars navigation - which I've been kinda jealous of

Tell me about it. My wife owns a Mazda CX9 Grand Touring and bothers me saying... "this car so expensive and don't have bla, bla" :mad.:

The grass is always greeener ;D... The question is, would you, for even a second, swap cars? Hell no. I've never had a car I enjoy driving as much as my FX50. Hands down it is the best experience I've ever had in a car (the most expensive too!). I can live without the best navigation or integration features. I've worked around most of those, like having Pandora auto-start when my Galaxy Note connects to my car, for example. What I'd love to see is integration with Android devices. There's a lot more overall app/services integration on Android than on iOS by far right now.
