We are looking at buying a Chicco Keyfit 30 Travel System and I am wondering if this will fit in the backseat? Has anyone ever installed any travel systems in an FX? We just recently moved my son out of his huge front facing Britax to a Britax booster. Thanks.
 
I've not had experience with the Chicco system, but I had the Graco Snugride 35 rear facing seat with base, etc in my FX35 with no issues. I had her in both the middle and behind the driver when we needed the extra seat. Moved my little one into a Britax Boulevard after she was ok to go forward facing and that made a world of difference with space. Overall, no problems with child seats in the FX.
 
We have the chicco keyfit and love it. Extremely easy to use along with the stroller. We keep it on passenger side. It does take up a lot of space. I'm 5'11" and can not sit for long periods of time with the chicco behind me....and I absolutely can not drive with it behind the drivers side. Wifey is short, 5'1" and she has no problem with either side. We also have the Britax Boulevard and it is still very nice for my skinny 4 yr old.

Thanks for sharing the information. We compared the Chicco to the Britax and like the Chicco system better. We also have an "in" that works for Chicco and can get the entire travel system for us for approximately $100, compared to $229 in a local store.

Do have the keyfit base installed or just a keyfit seat?

I have a chico key fit 30 for my FX and can't seem to find any complains regarding it. How old is your child? I actually hooked the bee in the middle of the FX since i did not feel comfortable putting it on either the passenger or drivers side in case of a side impact.
