IBA Off light won't turn off (can't turn IBA back on)

Anyone have any ideas what would cause the IBA light to not turn back off after disabling IBA (pressing the button)? I hit the button, which turned ON the IBA OFF light... and IBA is now not working (I verified as I lose traction much easier in rain, for example). However I can't now turn IBA back on by pressing the button again.

Frustrating! May have to take it into the dealer but would like to avoid that if possible :)

this is what i copy for QX56 should be similar "The IBA system will function when your vehicle is driven at speeds of approximately 10 MPH (15 km/h) or above, and when the vehicle’s speed is approximately 10 MPH (15 km/h) faster than that of the vehicle ahead. To turn the system off or on, push and hold the IBA OFF switch B (located on the lower side of the instrument panel) for more than 1 second after starting the engine. When the IBA OFF indicator light A on the instrument panel turns off and the IBA OFF switch is pushed, the system will turn off and the IBA OFF indicator light will illuminate. When the IBA OFF switch is pushed again, the system will turn on and the IBA OFF indicator light will turn off. The IBA system will remain in the last ON or OFF state it was left in until it is manually changed by pressing the IBA OFF switch. Illumination of the IBA OFF indicator light without a beep sound is an indication that the IBA system is temporarily unavailable. It will occur under the following conditions:"

OR CLEAN THE FRONT SENSOR..make sure its clean with no dirt or dust

Ran through the proceedure but no luck. Looks like a visit to the dealer is in my future. Crossing fingers...

It was a wiring problem at the switch. Aparently something was crossed when the alarm was installed. What's weird is that was the case you'd think that pushing the button would not turn off IBA either. In any case it's working as expected now. Thanks for the responses ;)
