I need new struts/shocks and springs BUT...

Soobs,Ok that fine I too was sidetracked (66mustang) and just started getting back to the fx. I have 03 w/86k,rides awesome but I thought it would need struts etc. I got 4 kyb's did the rears yesterday and the ones I took off seemed just as good as the new ones believe it or not. Still rides great stiff and quiet so I may hold off on fronts for now. Stock ones were also kyb's by the way. Sorry no pics but the back took 2hrs not bad at all. I guess I will change all fluids for now trans duffs etc oh and I still need tires,badly I have the 20's but they starting to rust and bubble. I saw 18's for sale by me for a good deal of a newer fx torn cause I don't want to give up handling curious how it is w/18's?
 
You'll lose a little precision with 18"s. It's a 60 series tire so it will be "floaty". I had 18"s stock, a lot of tire squirm. I've also had 22"s and 20"s and have found that for me, 20"s work best. I actually just recently swapped to 20"s from 22"s.

If you already have 20"s, I would just refinish the wheels and get new tires. What's wrong with the finish? They're aluminum so they don't rust.
 
That's what I was thinking sidewall flex, my stock wheels are bubbling up especially near the valve stem must be oxidizing or corrosion not terrible but it shows age I guess, maybe I will just find somebody in nj to wrap them or powder coat in black like u said thnx
