Hyundai iX35 (Tucson) looks like an FX...

Is it just me or does it look like Hyundai designed their iX35 (Tucson in the US) after the FX35/50...seems a little too similar. What I don't understand is why they decided to name is iX35 when there isnt a 3.5L option available for the car.....

There are so many similarities...the front headlights, rear tail lights, rear tail gate design, the whole rear design in general, even the wheels are similar to the FX35's base 18" wheels...

yeah sorry, except for the wheels looking similar, i dont really see it either. If anything, I say more of an EX, but thats just because of the kink up at the rear of the side windows.

same here.. dont think it really looks like the 2nd gen fx..

the genesis on the other hand...

Not seeing it either. Maybe more like a Tribeca.
The name on the other hand . . funny that you say there's no 3.5 There has to be an option

lol, I guess this is where that number comes from:

For safer maneuvering in reverse gear, a rear-view camera has been added, which operates in conjunction with a 3.5-inch color LCD built into the rear-view mirror. Smart-Parking Assist uses the rear-view camera to provide a graphical grid overlay to safely guide the driver into the parking spot.

This car will do great in Europe w/ it's teeny motor. Diesel option is a huge plus in Italy. Diesel's cheaper there

Hyundai is currently fighting for 2nd place with Nissan in Asia btw... Like I already said a couple years ago (in the Genesis thread), whether you care for their design or not... they WILL go far...
