Hey Guys,

This may be trivia, but my girl friend drives an 07 FX. Her brakes are a lot more sensitive than mines. I mean just slight pressure brings her FX to a stop. I have to apply twice the pressure to reach the same stopping distance even after changing brake pads. I'm not familiar with the brake assist feature or what makes it work. I've been driving like this for a year and it does feels normal until I drove hers. I want her stopping power:mad.:

Get your brake fluid flushed and bled if you haven't in a while. That may help a bit.

The brake assist feature just preloads the brake system when it senses objects nearing the front end quickly.

Mines work like it should but not super sensitive.

New pads. And a brake flush every two years will do wonders for the brake system. Maybe throw in stainless brake lines

Yes, I think it's time for a brake flush, even though I bought it pre-owned certified, don't think that was on the menu of thing to do...
