how often to change tranny fluid?

Hi:
I just bought the 2003 FX35 last week, with 33k miles on it.
is it time to change the tranny fluid yet?
how ofter do we need to change it on the FX?

I'd probably change it since the car is old. One of my car's transmission is jerky from 1st to 2nd because I cheaped out on shelling out the cash to change the transmission fluid.
 
wow, is it me or according to Schedule 1 and 2, you never have to replace your transmission fluid?

I always get my tranny fluid replaced every 30k.. I'd rather be a little proactive / overly cautious... gives me a little more piece of mind. So yes, its time to change it, IMO.
 
an 03 i would do it just to be safe...I bought my 05 after it was 3 y/o and I replaced everything...tranny,coolant, oil, belts, just to be safe. The problem is Infiniti wants 250 bucks to change the tranny fluid

Even though low miles, I say change it because it is a 2003.

I change my transmission fluid every 30,000 miles or two years, whatever comes first. I have a 2003 as well and plan to keep it for a long time. It's probably overkill and every 50,000 is fine.

$199 transmission flush at Infiniti is well worth preventing a transmission failure/break down. Just make sure you get this done at Infiniti or Nissan -- if you go local, make sure you use Nissan Matic J. It is a synthetic fluid, other fluids voids the warranty (but I forget if the 2003 is out of warranty or not on the transmission).
