There are a LOT of myths out there regarding longer oil change intervals and long life oil. The truth of the matter comes down to how the manufacturer of the engine (in this case NISSAN) designed the motor components along with what types of metals were used.
For example: My father owns a BMW M6, he gets away with FACTORY RECOMMENDED intervals of 10K miles approx. BUT the reason this car can get away with it isn't because of some magic oil, it's because the engine , metals and grades of metals used and the overall design of the components were made to go this long with this specific type and grade of oil. BMW builds a motor and then goes to the oil companies to have an oil designed around the motor.
90% of manufacturers cannot justify the higher cost this requires (hence why a BMW M6 costs upward of $100k lol) so they build a motor using metals and grades of metal that already work with off the shelf oils hence the shorter intervals. You can extend the interval by MAYBE 1-3 thousand miles IF you use longer life oils, but I wouldn't push it more than that.
Of course every motor is different and every driver is different on how they run the car so there are too many variables to sum it up in one neat explanation but that's what I've researched directly from the oil companies we deal with such as Motul / Eneos
