I need a brake job soon. 2003 FX35
I checked the r1conecpts.com, I had the Axxis pads on my other Nissan, they work pretty good. I'm wondering if anyone had tried the Axxis pads on your FX. how is it?
Delux or Ultimate ? whick one will be better?
do I need to order the brake hardware also?

please give me some ideas,

Thank you

Very dusty! I can't remember which one but they were ceramic and came with the stop tech rotor upgrade kit. The dust was so bad I had to change them out asap, plus they had squeaky too. changed them out for oem and have not changed since. Get the oem online.

I had replaced the oem on the FX before, but squeez like crazy, then I changed in to the market one in a week.
but the one I have now is too soft. that' why I want a new pair..
I really wanna use the OEM again, but do I need to order the hardware kit as well. ?
the infinitpartsusa.com don't sell the hardware kit..
but the r1concepts.com dont' sell the OEM.. :(

any idea??

I changed my pads to Akebono ProAct ceramic and I like these quite a bit very low to no dust and very quiet. I was a fan of OEM, but these ceramic pads sold me.

I heard way too many bad things about Axxis...

The Axxis were perfect on my bimmers (M coupe, 330i, 325Ci, another 325Ci). They did dust a lot but the stopping power was immense. On the FX though the general concensus is that they bite the big one....both literally and not literally :tonguey:

I have Axxis ULT on my Stoptech BBK and think they perform fine. But they do dust more than OEM.

This is from a brake product distributor, emailed to me TODAY.

sigThe new "309" compound StopTech Street Performance pads have only been around for about 6 months. They're manufactured by Centric Parts (StopTech and Power Slot's parent company) and they spent close to two years with their $1 million brake dyno set-up, fine tuning this compound and doing competitive comparisons with other pads from Hawk, Performance Friction, Raybestos, Jurid, etc. Early this year, it replaced Axxis ULT on StopTech ST-40 kits and it replaced Performance Friction PFC1038 on ST-60 kits. At first it was branded as Centric Posi Quiet Performance, then they changed their minds and decided to use the ultra-high performance division brand name - StopTech.

So if you were or still are considering Axxis, the Centric pads might be an upgrade.
