The reason i ask is because i got the po223 code and called the dealership. they said i could not do this on my own because something needed to be reset. is this true?
If so, anyone know of a place i could go to in socal that does'nt charge an arm and a leg to have this done? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Jumbosrule on here replaced his throttle body recently. Hopefully he will chime in soon to give you all the needed info.

I have swapped out a Throttle Body recently with no reset or learning procedure. That's not to say doing the throttle position learning procedure would not be of help, however. If you do replace the TB, it can't hurt to do the learning procedure "pedal dance". Anybody can do these with a little patience - see this thread:

If you know what you are doing the physical TB swap work takes about 30 minutes. If you are doing it for the first time it will take a bit longer but it is pretty simple. Just need to disconnect the intake tube to gain access to the TB #5 allen head bolts and electrical connector.

Thanks guys. I've done the pedal dance before to get rid of the code originally. It's been 2 months since i've done it. I was hoping it wouldn't come back. now that it did my wife wants me to "fix it right this time." The fx is hers now. Now to find a place to buy the throttle body. Thanks again.
