I want to Plastidip my rims. I just want to know from members who have done this, how do you take off the infiniti logo from the center cap? And what is done to reapply. Is it glued on? Thanx in advance for the help.

A little tip when u plastdip your rims..first off trust me just powdercoat or get them painted. Second if u are gonna plastidip, take your time, don't rush it and make sure your get the every part of the rim perfectly especially the round edges because it will start to peel around the edges first. Other than that put a lot of coats and its pretty durable. The back of the centercap had two little circles about an inch apart if I can remember. Take that off and the logo comes off.

I used the solder gun to take them off

I used a tiny flathead screwdriver and hammer (real lightly) to get those circle pieces/glue off the back of the center cap. Basically just chisel away lightly until all that glue is off, then the little infiniti logo will come off. You have to push from behind (no pun intended) a little as well not to crack them. Then when your done painting or w/e go out and get some gorilla glue and glue all around the area where the old glue was

As Dlaska said Gorilla glue will work, I used glue gun and all purpose glue stick.

So apply the glue just where the circles were on the back...or put glue behind the logo itself on the face of the center cap. Sorry for the excessive questions, just want to be sure.

If you're plastidipping the wheels there is no need to take off the emblems. Just trace around the shape of the emblem with exactly knife after painting and peel off the dip
