I had a 2008 fx35 and figured out how to turn off the automatic seat retract and steering wheel lift when you turn off the car, but I don't remember what I did. How do I turn it off on my 2012?
I might be posting in the wrong section.

here's a PDF containing lots of quick guides of the FX / QX 70

Automatic Drive Positioner (if so equipped)
Two positions for the driver’s seat, steering column and outside mirrors can be stored in the automatic drive positioner memory.

SEAT MEMORY CONTROLS (if so equipped)
Follow these procedures to set the memory positions:
• Confirm the shift lever is in the P (PARK) position.
• Push the ignition switch to the ON position.
• Adjust the driver’s seat, steering column and outside mirrors to the desired positions using the adjusting switches for each feature.
• Push the SET switch and within 5 seconds, push the memory switch (1 or 2) for at least 1 second.
• The indicator light on the memory switch you select will illuminate for approximately 5 seconds.
• The driver’s seat, steering column and outside mirror positions are now set to your preference.

These memorized positions can also be linked to your INFINITI Intelligent Key.
For more information, refer to the “Pre-driving checks and adjustments (section 3)” of your Owner’s Manual

EDIT , just noticed you have a 2008 FX next to your name. Time to update.

Comfort settings
Models with navigation system
The display illustrated will appear when
pushing the SETTING button, selecting the
“Others” key and then selecting the
“Comfort” key. This key does not appear
on the display until the ignition switch is
pushed to the ON position.

Models without navigation system
The display illustrated will appear when
pushing the SETTING button and selecting
the “Comfort” key. This key does not

Lift Steering Wheel on Exit (if so
equipped):

When this item is turned on, the steering
wheel moves upward for easy exit if the
ignition switch is in the LOCK position and
the driver’s door is opened. After getting
into the vehicle and pushing the ignition
switch to the ACC position, the steering
wheel moves to the previous position.

Slide Driver Seat Back on Exit (if so
equipped):

When this item is turned on, the driver’s
seat moves backward for easy exit if the
ignition switch is in the OFF position and
the driver’s door is opened. After getting
into the vehicle and pushing the ignition
switch to the ACC position, the driver’s seat
moves to the previous position.

Now that sounds like what I needed Kanedean! Thx, I'll give it a try. I do have the seat memory set, just don't want it to slide back for exit...
