Now fixed. Bought some MAF and TB cleaner last night. Cleaned the MAF first (first time ever, sorry...), but no diff. Took the TB off this morning (for its first ever cleaning as well). Took a bit to get the 4 Allen bolts loose; soaked them with Kroil for a couple hours. Last thing I needed was a broken TB stud. What a mess. There was a berm of crud on the high side and the downstream looked like a creosoted chimney. Used about half a can of the TB cleaner, and even had to resort to carb cleaner on a rag to clean off the throat of the TB. Used Q-Tips, soft toothbrush, and toothpicks to clean off the bulk of the crud, then a broken toothpick (broken on angle, real thin edge, you know) to get into the thin space between the blade and the throat. Tried not to move the throttle blade, as has been mentioned in other posts, but I did put very light pressure with the Q-Tips trying to get the crud off, especially where it met the throat. Bolted back up, hot starts fine now. No resets or any other complications. Runs like it did at 100,000... I really should just get another one of these when the time comes, if only to reuse the HKS SS exhaust. What a great car.
