It dependson the dealership because they can repair the wire or part they just guarantee it. Same problem i had w my tailights but they wanted to replace the main wiring harness for 1500 bucks, i was like what! then said or we can run a new wire but cannot guarantee it will stay working for much less. Just tell you dont want to pay that and if there is any alternatives.

Directly to what relay? The horn relay? I have the same problem and they quoted me $775 for the IPDM plus .5 labor. I MISS MY HORN!!!

I fixed my horn by wiring it direct to the relay. It took about two hours. It cost about $20. I had to buy 50 wire taps when I needed only 2.
Now I am going to see how long before I actually need to use it.
