Hissing sound when turning steering wheel

I have an issue that I've been needing to post up. This was before my FX got damaged and way before the storm. I noticed if its below freezing temps outside or less than 35degrees outside and I go to start the car on a cold start and move the steering wheel slightly while in park I can hear a hissing noise behind the dash/steering rack area. Not very loud though. If I let go of the steering wheel and stop turning it stops. Then if I move it again it makes it.

After turning the steering a few times it goes away. It sounds like what I'm hearing is the fluid pumping and it hisses like air being let out. I notice it only does it on a cold start and when it's freezing outside. I was thinking it might be normal since the viscosity of the power steering fluid is different in cold temps and a little harder to pump the ps fluid? It goes away after the steering has been turned a few times and the car is heated up.

Power steering fluid levels are fine by the way.

Aaron, you need to apply to the Nissan QA department. You would love that job and they would love to have you. I'm serious.

I'm gonna give him my fx to drive for a day so he could find all the problems with it and take it to the dealer to get fixed

Next thread.... Why is my driver door not closing with the same thud as the other 3? (Opens and shuts all other doors) See? Can you hear that? Dealer - :banghead:

Dang I wouldn't want Aaron driving my car, he'd have me thinking my car was falling apart! Hahaha
