High pitch cabin noise

I have read quite a few threads in different forums concerning this issue. Has anyone had their dealership acknowledge that there is in fact an issue and fix it? I am having a heck of a time trying to convince my dealership that there is something wrong with the vehicle.

Problem: High pitch electrical noise/tone inside cabin, coming from around the ECM area while throttle is being depressed.

What my local dealership said
: It's a "characteristic of the vehicle and it's a normal noise" and another tech said it was "static from the alternator"
I find both of these answers hard to believe. I think they are either being lazy or don't want to admit that their is actually an issue with their design or part.

I made a video so as that people can hear what the exact problem is, since I am so new here I am not allowed to post it.
It's the first video that comes up on youtube if you search. "high pitch infiniti noise" Or PM me I can send the link.

Possible solutions I have heard so far(through forums): Replace existing ECM with an upgraded version as there is a possible issue with capacitors on the stock ECM. Anyone know the part number for this?

Thanks for reading!

this is your video, correct?

try it with audio and climate control turned OFF, see if noise is there. I had a similar issue with my o5 FX35 and it turned out to be coming from the speaker - it was a grounding issue somewhere, and when I gave it more gas, the noise would get louder. It happened with the radio on or off.

Dealer told me it was a grounding issue and "from all of your electronics" (subwoofers, radar detector, iPod aux, etc) I do not recall the same noise prior to that stuff.

Maybe have them check grounding? Ever get static shocks when leaving the car and letting go of the door? that is a grounding issue. My 05 used to give me a slight static shock..... (blame teenager electronics, grounding kit, speakers, subs, tune, etc etc etc)

hope this helps

Yeah that's the one, haha.
Thanks for the reply.
Noise is there with or without the climate control and/or audio turned off.

Where could I check the grounding locations? Is there a fuse I could pull to determine if it's coming through speakers or not?

Fuses I am not sure, You'd have to check a fuse diagram to see if there is one pertaining to the speakers or anything. I am not sure. As for the grounding, I am also unsure how exactly to test for that. Sorry :bad:

No worries, It's another possibility! I will check for ground locations today and see what I can find, have a look at fuse box too.

Thanks!

While your doing that it wouldn't hurt to replace ground wire with ticker guage wires!!!
r u running heavy electronics do you have a cap ?
whens the last time you serviced alternator and battery ?

Sound system is all stock. Not sure when it was last serviced. Just purchased the car. Infiniti had a look over and gave it the OK, but maybe they didn't check that?
