Ya id be afraid that sanding would just scratch the glass

Havent owned it 2 days. Allready pulling panels. Window fixed. :-)

The anti pinch was was messed up. Had to reprogram it. You can see a small hole near the speaker. Reset button is there. I should have done a dyi. There is one but no pictures are present. Only a factory diagram that's not grand showing where program. Button is. I did find a ton of scratches on. Passenger door. Light though. I have a painter friend who sometime this summer is going to sand it with 3000 and buff the whole car.
 
SO i noticed while driving yesterday in the high winds, at highway speed, i could see the hood moving up and down, now it was fully latched but i also noticed while latched I can move the hood up and down with my hands, on my other vehicles that has been 2 adjustable bumpers to acct for hood play, to make it a snug fit against the latch, i do not see this on the FX, is it infact missing or is the hood closing spot not adjustable?
 
Congrats on finding the FX, 2 days in and doing a writeup, now that is a good IS member.

That is weird on the black dots, hopefully a razor will get them off for you.
 
There should two larger one and two small bump stops on the underside of the hood.

found those, loosend them a tad, hood is tigher now. alright next thing , I am having my front windows tinted, but im unsure to what percentage, does anyone know the percentage of tint on the rear windows? I also tried taking a razor to the windshield last night, NO GO, did nothing to the black dots, looks like I deal with it....or find myself with a busted windshield in need of replacement.
 
is that 20% of light that passes threw the window or percent of light blocked? the legal ammt in WI is 50% of light to pass threw the window
 
Mine is at 22% which is the closest my tint guy had. I can't tell any difference between front and rear windows. It will be illegal in almost every state to tint your front windows this dark. Here in GA, the limit is 35%. I've had the windows tinted for over 4 years and finally got pulled over a couple of weeks back. Officer ran the tester on the window and told me it was illegal, but above his personal limit so he let me go. I think he was just fishing...

Anytime they tell you a %, it's light transmission. So 5% only allows 5% to pass through. I think untinted auto glass is like 70% or so.
 
If you can find a sanding grit that is fine enough not to scratch the glass, but rough enough for the dots. or a chemical that would eat the dots, but not damage the glass. Maybe call a glass place to see if they have any ideas on how to remove it.
That thing is a camera, so it will have to be very clear to work right.
