Help with speakers

My FX45(Mom's now) has always done this but I drove it last weekend and finally bugged me to a point where I wanted to ask here. It is an '04 with Bose system with Nav all factory never been touched. The sound periodically jumps to the passenger side, it still plays from driver side, but very faint. Then all the sudden it will come back and then switch over again. Any idea what this could be? There is no noise like a hiss or pop that would indicate wiring issues. I did used to listen to the stereo pretty loud when I bought the FX maybe that driver side dash speaker is on the way out???

Only way to tell really is have a shop or someone good with taking radios out of the dash etc,,,

Could be loose wires or damaged wires shorting against metal somewhere during bumps turns etc etc.
