Help testing this mod out!

So I was staring at the car for a while desperate to figure something out to get more air circulation under the hood. I don't like how closed up it is cause it gets freakin hot under their. Keeps it clean but hot. This is a simple solution I came up with for now...

And after...

I tied a string on the bottom to see if their was enough air going through to extend it out and the string did get pushed all the way into the engine bay. When I get a chance I will direct it all to the filter itself and I'll be back to post that as well.

Not sure how to test the volume amount of air going through though, or how much of a temperature drop you would get from this. I would think it's got to do something though since those pieces hanging down are now acting like lil scoops.

I think someone needs to make a custom hood for the FX, maybe even a vent up front like the ones for the Z's

A LONG time ago some one did something similar with a vacuum hose and added a little scoop at the bottom where you have the holes.

can't you just zip tie a temp sensor at a certain spot under the hood and check the temps with/w-out the bottom inlet? i know there are sensors designed for PC cases for modders to test their temps.
