Hello everyone, thank you in advance for any input. I am new to the forum as well as infinitis. I just purchased a very nice condition 2016 qx70. I have issues with the infotainment system. My problems started when I tried connecting my Iphone to the car to stream music. To make calls it connects no problem and when I try to connect for music it shows that it’s connected, the music coming from the phone is not playing through the car’s speakers. (Phone shows it’s connected) I tried everything to make it work disconnected reconnected many times even tries using my older iphone to see if my new phone was the issue. It will not stream music no matter what. I figured I just connect the phone through the usb and call it a day. However when I did that it was reading the usb forever and it couldn’t read it, so I couldn’t stream this way also. After I did this I noticed other little malfunctions with the unit as well. When I start the car sometimes it doesn’t boot up and the Infiniti sign keeps on rotating until I restart the car and it boots up correctly. One time it booted correctly and a couple of minutes into playing regular FM radio the music stopped and the Infiniti start up sign started rotating on the screen. Also noticed the sound quality of the Bose stereo doesn’t sound as good as my 2013 Camry. I contacted Infiniti’s assistance through the phone and they tried all the same things I’ve been doing with no success. Even when I try to reboot the system by holding down the power button doesn’t work. The system won’t reset no matter how long I hold the button down. So at this point I am thinking I have a bad head unit in the car. My question is are all functions including Bluetooth and gps/usb are controlled by the same head unit? If so can I replace this unit with a used one? I think when you replace this unit there is a code that’s going to be needed for the used oem stereo. How do I get that code? Also anyone has a suggestion what I should do in short of replacing the stereo? Thank you very much for any input!!!!
