When I turn off the ignition warning light comes on saying " SHIFT P", even though my gear selector is in P and the light indicator on gearbox shows that it is in P position. I guess it thinks that car is in D or R position and keeps reminding me to shift into P. This warning as well as beeping sound does not come off and keeps beeping all the time. Stealership here doesn't know what's wrong with it :mad.:. Does anyone know what's wrong with my gear selector?

Workshop now tells me that some pin broke down inside the transmission selector, and the whole thing needs to be replaced (by the way I am out of warranty). Does anyone know what is the part number for 2009 RWD FX35 Automatic transmission SHIFT SELECTOR Assembly? I attached image of it it is numbered "17" from repair manual.
