Figured i would say hey before starting to solve my list of issues on my 07 fx35 with 45k miles, we have owned the fx for about a year and a half now and for the most part my wife and i love the car.

I have browsed around before but decided to register and try to fix the issues with everyones help or give up and sell.

Well thank you all, our first issue started with a steering wheel shake almost like an unbalanced tire, took it to 3 different dealers and 1 tire shop but still had the issue. Then after the wife took it to the local infiniti dealer they convinced her that 4 Michelins will fix it, guess what it did not.

My second issue is the exhaust is rotted out with only 45k and i cannot find anything that says it's fro an 07, found 03-05 which looks the same to me but i would like to be sure. Is there one you guys would recommend, i would prefer to leave the neighbors asleep at 6am. Thanks for any help
 
If you are dead set on OEM exhaust, all first gen 35's use the same exhaust set up. There was only a change to the y-pipe in the 06-08 45's.
 
Well thank you soonster i will try that asap , although it would be awesome if it works but then the question is why does the dealer not know of this bolt. I would be kinda pissed if after 1300$ and doing without the car numerous times and this could have been fixed with a turn of a wrench, oh well i can't wait to give it a try.

I did look for something aftermarket on the exhaust , just can't find something new for an 07.

If i wanted none oem and fairly quite , what would you suggest.
 
Welcome to IS! The steering shake should be an easy fix like Soon posted. As for as exhaust, the miles don't really matter as much as it is a five year old car and you live in an area that snows and the roads are salted. It's definitely an opportunity to get an aftermarket exhaust and enjoy the benefits of having one!
 
So would the Invidia for an 09 or an HKS for an 03-05 work, because thats what i am finding and not willing to dish out 1,000$ and then ship it back

I can almost bet that the bolt on the rack is your problem. Had the same issue on my 07 and that bolt fixed the problem. As for your exhaust, if you want to stay oem, there are replacement parts on ebay. They sell all the parts individually.
 
Welcome. If you haven't figured it out yet, it is time to be amazed. The team of geniuses here will save you ungodly amounts of time, money, and frustration. Be careful though. There is a mod bug going around.
 
Welcome to the forum. I'd suggest to go with the HKS or the Nismo exhaust if you want quiet when not under load (plus the Invidia has had some issues with drone). Not sure how well the Nismo will fair in your part of the country though.

If you do decide to go OEM post around, you may find one with low miles for free.
 
Thank you all for your help and knowledge with my current issues, my only regret is i did not post sooner. I would love to lower and do some perfomance things to the fx but the wife has spoken and she said if it's even half has loud has my lifted Grand Cherokee i better sleep with one eye open,lol. Thanks again
