Hello from Rome

Hey guys (and gal). I am moving to Rome for our business, and am somewhat required to get an FX35. I wasnt really into SUVs or Infiniti for that matter, but since its once of our most popular cars to export, I need to get one to drive around clients (we are an export co). Pretty funny, as here in Italy if you drive an FX, its like you are driving a Bentley. Chics dig it..

Anyhow, I have come to like the car and will be buying one shortly to send to Italy as my daily driver. I hope to mod the hell out of it (American way..) before I send it while keeping it reliable. Hence my joining the forums!

Desired mods:
-Exhaust (not fond of stock) that sounds good, no drone, and not hollow.
-CAI
-Plennum spacer
-Anything to improve mileage... (gas is nearly $8/gallon here)
-Springs
-ICE - basic speaker replacement (necessary?) and singe 10/12" sub, stealth style.
-Possible wheel swap..

I am looking for an 05 to 07 black(or gray) on brick with Sport, Tech, and Touring, should anyone be interested in selling.

Anyone else on here from Europe?

welcome, thers are some pretty big differences between the -05 FX the 06+ FX, if your budget allows for up to an 07 I would say you might want to look 06-07 really

wow $8 gallon, can only do half as much driving as you'd get here:biggrin:

Stick with the Nismo Exhaust. sounds good, no drone, and not hollow

anyway, welcome to :iS:. I know we have like one guy from Switzerland and someone from Russian (I think), tho... they're not very active here.
 
Welcome to the Scene! always nice to see more international members.

pertaining the mods you want to do:

Nismo exhaust - if you are RWD than you will only need the g35 extension pipe and to extend the tips to clear the bumper. if you are AWD you need to modify the y-pipe to fit as well as extending the tips to clear the bumper.

CAI - stillen cold air system works great (stillen z-tube + stillen air box)

Spacer - motordyne, powerlab, etc. they are all pretty much the same, if you can find one for a great price go for it.

Springs - H&R or Eibach, either will do you good

you should... a bunch of us are going out to the tracks NEXT Saturday the 26th... you can get to hear some Nismo's and one Stillen exhaust. When do you officially get ship off to Rome?

shoot! the track meet is on the 26th... well, where in the OC are you? I go down to Dana Point on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. But mine's a FX45 so the sound's going to be different I think... Will's is a FX35 and also has the Nismo.
