i know this threads a lil old but... i'm trying to do this same mod on my headlights and am debating what i should do with the reflectors...

either paint it with a transparent (or metallic) paint using an airbrush..

or use one of those tint films to smoke it...

I would rather find a material that i can somehow fit right in its place...

turbocad, are you still planning on making those clear pieces? if so i would love to buy a set cuz your headlights look damn nice!

go to home depot and buy the clear plastic sheets that they use for the lights and cut it to size.

sounds good! i'll go check out home depot and see what i can find..

and is there a way i can bend the plastic piece like the original reflector.. i noticed that theres a slight curve to it..

maybe using a heat gun?

the best way is to cut it a little bigger, then sand it to get it to size with clean edges....

the curve isn't much of a problem, the plastic is flexable, it'll take the shape, you'll probably have to glue it in anyway so that'll hold it curved too

I have none for sale yet, not sure when

ok, thanks for all the tips guys!

i'm gonna try and make a custom piece out of plastic and if that fails for some reason i'll prob go with what merchant said and paint it with a smoke..

which actually got me thinkin.. has anybody done a chrome paint on the reflectors? saw some chrome paint online (dont know how well it works) that i was thinkin about pickin up..
if anybody has, could you show me some pictures please..

He's in Lebanon so maybe the police over there won't know the difference or just don't care .

lol yeah the police over here doesn't really care about drl's; nether do inspections..

About the rear reflectors I think it would look cleaner if you spray tinted it.. (using VHT nightshare or tamiya smoke spray PS-31) i used the tamiya smoke and they came out great! chrome reflectors are too much

yeah actually after thinking more about it and checking out some more pics i think i'm gonna stick with the clear or tint.

and decided to wait till i get my smoke taillights to open up my headlights.. i want to try to match them as close as possible.. so better off not tearing them apart quite yet..

thanks again for all the input guys!
i'll try to post some pics when i'm done.

so today i started working on my hid fog lights and headlights (just the bulbs) and ran into a problem...

its kinda embarassing to even ask this but.. how the hell do i replace the headlight bulbs?

i took off the circular piece from the back and i see the metal ballast but what do i do from there?
am i supposed to pull it straight out, turn, or is there some type of clip in further?

just wanted to make sure before i proceed with any force.

thanks in advance!

The silver square thing is the igniter, just twist counter-clockwise and they will come off.

turn it 1/4 turn or less ccw, then pull straight out...

after the ignitor is removed the bulb is held in with wire spring clip, hard to explain really, should try to look in there, but basically there are 2 hooks & 2 wire ends, you have to push each wire end in & slightly towards the bulb, then while holding it in towards the bulb pull it rearward to release from the hook, then they hinge out so you can remove the bulb...
