So I tinted my windows and lower/upper portion of windshield. I have noticed the auto headlight seems to be turning my headlights on during the middle of the day. I tinted the windows when I bought it so I don't know if it was doing that before.
Where is the sensor for the headlights located?
2012 FX50

On the first gen it is the round sensor on the right. If you put your hand over it, the headlights will turn on. Not sure if it is the same for the second gen.

Is that the bubbling of the dash ive seen some mention to on this board? Exclusive to the first gens?

My dash bubbled on my 08 and the factory put no mileage limit on the free replacement to my understanding.

I believe there is a sensitivity setting in your settings that can be adjusted.

The headlight sensor on the second gen are located on the passenger side of the dash near the defroster vent. Can try adjusting the sensitivity setting like Themechanic said. How dark are the windshield tints?

I have a small strip of tint at the bottom of the windshield, but it is pretty dark. Hoping the sensitivity can be adjusted. I'll dig around in the controls on the screen and see if I can find the adjustment.
I had the same tint strip on my 08 with no issues.

Yes, that's the bubbling everyone talks about. That's pretty mild, it can get much worse. I had it on my '07 and it was replaced under extended 8 year dash replacement warranty. Mine was bubbling in '10 so less than 3 years after the car was built. There was an issue with the adhesive or something and heat made it worse so Southern cars tend to have this problem more.

I don't think it happens on the 2nd gens.

Man, I hope I don't get that in my 05. I checked carfax and I don't think it was replaced yet, but it would bug me to no end if it would happen. Anyone have any prices on wat it costs to change a dash??

So on the screen under Settings>Others>Comfort> Light Sensitivity...
Do I turn it down or up?
I see two sensors on the dash. One to the left of the drivers side defrost vent and one to the right of the passenger side defrost vent. The tint does cover the area...
