Unfoturnately I have come upon bad financial times and we have to sell our beautiful FX! I love this car and hate to get rid of it, but my house is more important to me right now. Anyway, any recomendations of where to sell it? I didn't see many listed for sale in the classified section on this website. I can give more information on the car, but not sure if this is the correct place to do it!

Thanks,
Kan

sorry about your situation....

I would try to sell the car on the local paper/ craigslist/ cars.com/ but not here since most members have FX and not many log onto to here w/o

...check KBB.com for current prices of the FX.

good luck

Yep. Probably one of the worst places to post FX for sale since this is a forum for FX owners.

I think you are going to bend over and take it like they do in prison when you sell it.

Sorry to hear about your situation.

I think if I could get between 33k and 35k for it I would be okay. That would just pay off the lease, not counting the extra 5k I put into wheels and painting the lower plastics.

I think you will get low balled everywhere you go... unless you sell it to a private party. Locating a party that is willing to purchase your vehicle will even be harder.

Well, all I can do is try! I guess if I don't sell it I will just keep struggling financialy until things pick up some at my business.

sorry about your situation. i bought and sold a few cars recently and used different sites.
autotrader - got the most leads and sold cars here
cars.com - very few leads
craigslist - few offers and very aggressive (lowball offers mostly)
since you mentioned lease, you may want to look at lease sites. last, keep your ride clean, disclose anything needed to buyers right away, prepare to show all your service records (i asked for this when buying), and be ready to meet all sorts of buyers. good luck!

Hate to hear this news, but I think with a private sell you might get close to goal, given the wheels and paint job. Going to be tough though, the problem is you need a quick sale. Do you have pics, main problem may be location. Definitely need to post it nationally, do you have a Carmax, would be a good place to start to see what you can get for it.
