Hard Wired Garmin Voice Activated GPS

Hey all, so when I bought my FX, it did not come with the Nav package. So I went out and bout the new Garmin unit that is voice activated. All you do is say "voice command" and you can choose your address, favorites, etc. It's sweet. I also didn't want that ugly cord going to the power, so I went to Best Buy and had them hard wire the unit for me. I also bought a vent mount from Amazon for like 6 bucks. Anyways, I think this is a nice alternative to an expensive integrated unit. Here are some pics, the wiring goes through the vent.

What's that mark on the door handle? Looks like the leather is scratched.

Hadn't noticed that mark, I will go check it out! Guess would be pen, my wife drives it for work.

The model is nuvi 2460LMT, ya, the guys at this best buy knew what they were doing. As far as losing a vent, I dont think it a big deal. Air still come out of it, it's just blocked a bit by the GPS. I haven't noticed a difference. Also, that was a pen mark. Got it out. Good eyes!

Is the vent install sturdy? I would be worried about eventually breaking the vent. That's why in the past I've choose a pre-clip mount on the dash.

It hold the unit up well. There is not pressure on the vent. The nuvi is really light.
