Is there more to removing the grille than just the 4 screws on the top. I took them off and it doesnt seem to wanna come off and i dont wanna force plastic

after the 4 pop of screws on the top grille there are plastic clips that hold the grille in.
pull the grill towards you and you need to put some strength into and it should pop off

pulling definitely works but i dont think that is the "correct" way. if you look in between the slats on the grill in the 4 corners, you will see a hole with a square head inside, and a slot in it. put a flathead in the slot, and turn the square head until it lines up with the square hole behind it. should be a 1/8 turn to get them to line up, and that side will pop out. do all 4 and it will come right off. to reinstall, remove the clips from the bumper, and snap them back onto the grill, then snap the grill back into place.

Don't just pull on the grill to remove it after removing the top clips, you will definitely break either the grill, clips or front bumper and end up paying far more for repairs. I just replaced my grill myself this weekend and the prior poster is correct. Follow the following steps:

1. Remove the 6 clips on the top of the grill. Use a flat head screwdriver to top them out.
2. Look through the slats of the grill for the four square holes. There are plastic clips in which you will use a flat screwdriver and make a quarter turn until the square plastic clip lines up with the grill square hole. Once that happens, gently pull the grill towards you and it will come out with ease. Do this for all four holes.
3. Once the grill is removed, then pinch the holding clips to remove them from the bracket. Then insert the clips into the new grill.
4. When the clips are on, then line up the grill and pop back in until you hear the clips engage.
5. Replace the top 6 clips and you're done.

CAUTION: DO NOT FORCE THE REMOVAL OF THE GRILL OR YOU WILL DEFINITELY CRACK SOMETHING.

Holy thread revival...but your instructions are correct. I will add that if you take your grill off enough times, the clips will crack anyways.

It will not be a direct swap due to the mounting tab in the four corners are a little off between the 03 - 05 to the 06+
