Got stuck in snow, damn!

I'm a bit too confident with the snow drive mode and the relatively high chassis, so I pull into a spot that all the snow elevated my car so none of my wheel was touching the snow.....

The FX is a great winter vehicle and immensely capable, if equipped adequately.

Of course if you high center the thing it's not going to be going anywhere, then again no other vehicle would be either...

Time to replace my all-weathers. Driving around in this is fun, but it's becoming more and more surprising when I'm going to swing the back end around. :)

No, time to get some real winter tires on those stockies to finish off the season. Start looking into some 22's for Summer.

yeah, I know, but so many other things I'd like to spend money on. I just need to find some GTRs with brand new tires for $1000 and I'll be all set.

I'm also thinking for next year to get rid of my Bridgestone all season tires and get some winter tires.

We just had a big snow dump (30-35 cm), and I am amazed on how this car is design/ handle/ fun to drive. I have Michelin tire, som'in all season- not new, and she is doing very good. Some traction lights/ AWD is kicking in when the car slides , almost too much. Its a rear wheel drive with front wheel recovery system.
I am only 6 month owner of this piece of happiness and loving every time I'm in driving.

Time for you to create a garage and show us pics of this piece of happiness that you love.

Guessing you were in whistler?

Lucky guy, I was away on business otherwise I would have been up that way for some shredding as well...

With the rims and tires on my 50 I'm not really snow equipped but when I had my 1ST gen I would turn the VDC off and my FX was a beast in deep snow, even with the stock tires. We had a foot and some change of snow a couple of years ago and Sanitation had a "we're on strike but not officially moment" and everything from buses to trucks were getting stuck and I was just moving along in my FX like a tank in the aftermath of a battlefield. It was a good feeling.

Next winter I will be on snow tires...and stock 18in rims ....not sure if ill just get 22's or just put summer tires on my 21"s.

Got a little bit of snow out here in Oregon and went out to pick up some stuff with prada spec tires on. Dont think they are the best tires for snow. Slid around a bit on purpose but couldnt get up my driveway which was pretty steep. Didnt feel to stable when i was driving normally either. I could feel the tires slipping once in awhile.

Well said, definitely getting some snows next winter. All seasons gave me more close calls with with Lola this season than I was comfortable with.
