G35 Coupe Seats

I know Rookie has done this, but has anyone else swapped in seats from a G35 Coupe? I'm wondering if it can be done without extensive mods or wiring issues. The G Sedan guys swap in coupe seats pretty commonly and it's relatively plug and play. Our seats are not too different from the G sedan seats. Now that I drive the FX more, I'm finding the seats lacking for "aggressive" cornerning. I've been testing out the braces and coilovers a lot lately and I'm tired of sliding around the car or having to brace myself against the armrest. On my 335, I have the sport seats which are adjustable side and thigh bolsters and I love those seats. Not looking to get anything like that, but more support would be nice.

So if I get seats with the same options as mine - memory/heat, would I be able to get them to work without losing functionality? If I have to move some wires in the plugs I can live with that. Or mild mods to the brackets.

Your talking the 03-07 G coupe?

I really want the 08-13 G37S seats (Sedan or coupe), they are the same as the FX50S seats. The ones with the slide out leg bolster.

Well, I would honestly prefer the new G37 seats, but haven't found any instances of G35 guys successfully making it work. The G35 seats would be an easier option to me. Although, I love the slide out leg bolster, have one on my 335 and it makes a huge difference.

Not yet, haven't had time to dig into it. My brother has a G Sedan, so when I have time, I'm going to compare his seats/rails/wiring to mine. He has heated and memory seats as well, so if the wiring is the same and the rails are the same, it should be good. Coupe seats swap into sedans without issue, so if the sedan is close to the FX, it should work.

Not really. My brother traded his G in for an F30 so I never got around to checking the wiring. And I've been spending most of my time working on the 335. I think I'll just leave the FX as is since I may only keep it for another year or so (really, really want and X5M). Just doing little stuff right now, don't want to get into stuff that involves a bunch of fab work.

Yeah, I love the FX, but have just sort of lost the urge to mod it. Mods really don't make much of a difference it seems, and it's already got most of the mods available short of boost. So I think I'll just enjoy it as is - it's the daily driver/family hauler. The more I drive the 335, the more I love having turbos again. I thought about boosting the FX, but for the amount of money needed for a reliable setup, it just doesn't make sense. And I realized I need something with a little more cargo space (sloping back glass doesn't help). A friend picked up a '10 X5M last summer and it's insane even stock. Put some downpipes/tune on and it's getting close to 700 hp.
