FX50 engine knocks randomly or valve chatter

I have 30k on this car and it is well maintained. I have a weird knocking (almost sounds like dieseling) or valve clatter when accelerating
I give it a little gas and it claps loud. Sounds like crap. Dealer said they can't find anything wrong. I only use 91 octane and even put octane booster in, but no difference. Anyone else experiencing issues like this?

FX35 - Synthetic oil change intervals

I changed the oil in my FX50 to mobil1 5w30 and after a couple thousand miles it started doing this ticking or clicking noise from the valve covers, very annoying. I will try a different brand and maybe thicker oil to hopefully make the noise go away. If not, warranty!

Changed the oil to Valvoline High Mileage Full Synthetic 10w30, ticking noise is gone!

I agree about changing the oil but disagree about using oil that differs from the recommended weight - generally a certain weight is recommended for a reason.

FX50 owner, no issue like the one described.

What is the recommended oil? I'll try anything at this point. The dealer has had it three times and said it is "normal" It's valve chatter due to lack of pressure or viscosity, but they said pressure is fine and did an oil change. No difference.
