FX35 2010 - Quick Way to change Fogs ?

Is there a quickie way to replace Fog Bulbs only on '10 FX35 ? Without removing all the clips and wheel well casing ? I was reaning on 1st gen it's very easy to access from the front but it seems on new ones the access is blocked by some plastic parts...

Nope, there is no other way to change them. Actually going behind the wheel well is the easiest way to do it. I suck at handy work, but it only took me 10 minutes to do both side through the wheel well.

Nope, just 10 minutes bro or a little more. Just unscrew a couple of screws on that plastic trim piece around the wheel well. Then pop off the clips that hold it on. Then CAREFULLY pull back the wheel well lining. Disconnect the foglight bulb. Install your HID kit. Then find a place to mount the ballast. Reverse order of putting it back together, and your DONE!

I'd assume it could take longer if your real careful with things. The most time consuming part could be finding a good place to mount the ballast, and that's it. Otherwise everything else is straight forward.

The right side may be a little harder since the windshield washer tank is in the way, but you still have enough room to work around it, so no worries.

Actually I change mine without taking off anything. You can reach it from the front much te same way as 1st gen. You just need small hands to fit through. The plastic part is held on by 1 fastener that u can remove and just push that piece beside.

That is if u dun havethe tech package. The lane guidance thing would be in the way if u do and u would need to remove the wheel liner

The radar box in the bumper is for the distance control assist, foward collision warning, and adaptive cruise control. The lane departure uses a camera that's up in the top part of the windshield.

Ima get the gf to change them since she has smaller hands than me...lol

I did change mine in 15 minutes. Just realesed three screws down bumper on each side, two screws front part of wheel trim, separate trim (just two clips). This allowed me separate mug guard from body to get access to fog light to install replacement bulb (I just replace the bulb for one more white than stock). Same difficulty on both sides for me.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

If hands are a bit fat :-) Like mine. Don't do it under the bumper way,it will be very hard to reach bulb and will scratch your hands with tight spacing :-)

Better do with minimal trim removal ;-)

following sobi's DIY is a good way and if you can use a screwdriver and wrench itll take you 15 minutes (trim tools are helpful for the wheels trim)
