FX35 2006 vs 2008 Air intake

Hi;
I have a 2008 FX35 and all Air intakes I found are up to 2006. Does anyone know what happened on 2007 - 2008? I mean, something changed between 2006 and 2008 models? specially on the intake?

I want to buy an AFE intake and all they said is that they haven't designed or tested for that year (2008) because it is low volume, etc....

But I really want to know if something changed...

First, you probably don't want to get the AFE.

Second, the reason some companies may stop at 2006 is because that's when they came out with the product and due to low sales they had no reason to keep updating each year. As far as intakes 2003-2008 FX35's should all be the same.

I didn't like the Stillen method of removal of the filter so I ended buyinf AFE. I have it installed since november last year and I like it. It does not fit the way it came. The rubber tube connector is too short, the vacuum hose location is incorrect and one of the 3 bolts is too far to fit. I made the corrections with less than $25 and sent them a collage of photos and a detailed explanation of why the have been wrong for many years. They told me that they may stop selling it until they correct the issue.

But I like the way it sounds.
