Hi All. Few months back i replaced the air filter in my car. I saw some threads here on how to do this.

While i was able to replace the filter, i ended up breaking almost all the plastic nut/pins, what ever they are called. Also i had some tough time replacing the filter.

So i was gonna ask if anyone here had ever made a step by step video of replacing the filter.

The Engine intake Air Filter.

Actually the DIY guide for In-Cabin Air filter was quite descriptive and helped a lot.

I couldn't find the same details to replace the factory Engine Air Filter.

Yeah, I was gonna say I did a DIY over there 2 years ago. Harder to find because I just let Datman put it where he wanted as opposed to making my own thread.

Should I re-do the DIY here in a thread?

That would actually be great. I was just looking for a good intake air filter DIY write up a couple of days ago. Thanks in advance!

Thanks, for all the inputs.

This is the DIY guide, i used the last time i replaced the filter.

Even after doing what it says, the filter box does not really comes out.

May be you can add more pics or a video will be much better.

Are you pulling it up hard enough? As long as that one bolt is loose everything should come out. I did this without any sort of DIY, so it shouldn't be that hard.

may be that's another part i am not sure about. Not sure what part actually is supposed to be pulled out.
Also isn't the entire filter body attached to the air pipe which goes to the engine. Don't we have to unplug the pipe and the sensor ?

If your only replacing the panel filter, there's no reason to take all that out. The air box is attached underneath and that's what needs to be loosened.
