Hey IS fam, my name is Josh and I am a current 98 Nissan Maxima (VQ35 6 Speed Swap) & 04 Infiniti i35 (2nd gen VQ35 5 Speed Swap) owner and I have come to the conclusion that I want a Y34 M45.
Mostly influenced by my bro who has a FX45 (he also has a 02 Maxima 6speed lol). I did not know Nissan had a V8 motor until my bro got his FX45 a few years ago.
I was looking for a new project/platform but rwd vs my current FWD chassis I've been messing with for the past 10 years. I always thought I would migrate over from the Maxima to a Z/G chassis but after thinking about it, and stumbling upon a few Y34 M45's I prefer the Y34 chassis as its not your average car too see on the road and its somewhat an oddball but I like it. Probably because it reminds me of myself lol
I've been doing alot of homework/research on the VK45 and the Y34 chassis. Would love to 6 speed swap one. I've seen/read up on a few that have been done. So thats mainly why I joined this forum.
