Fun Track Day at Willow Springs Intl

I got an early bird deal for 300. A little better. that does include a very open track and there will be hired instructors for ride-alongs.
Have 8 buddies going including the usual Sunday crew.
It's really an amazing track. Technical & FAST!!! Even with my turtle slow FX, I see near 120 at the end of big straight.

We have room for 5 more if anyone is interested.

I didnt make the edit. Silly intro song runs about a lap & 1/2, but some good footage the entire run. Enjoy! (It's HD, so you may need to adjust settings)

Hopefully someone here will join next time. It would be nice to have another FX to run with.
While I didnt count laps, I went through an entire tank of gas on track. Not a hiccup from her all day.
Had one off track experience on Big 9, but it was very uneventful. I had it straight when I hit the dirt. It's an 85 mph turn in the FX, but I got it slowed down enough. Huge cloud & very dirty :) took deep breath & went back out.
Everyone needs a little bite once in a while just for awareness.

So here's my trek in the desert.
Yikes! I can sorta make out the speedo. Looks like I was doing around 80 when I left the track.
Knowing I wasnt going to make it, it looks like I did all the right things. Slowed as much as possible, & kept her straight & committed to the dirt. Couldve been tragic.
Serves me right for trying to keep up with the M3 & 1LE Camaro.

I didnt. Crazy to induce understeer at those speeds. I was not on the right driving line, & just in too hot to correct. Turn 9 is a decreasing radius corner. Alot of speed in first half of turn, but not so much in the second. Late turn in is also essential.
I did not hit outside mark & was way too centered on track to hit next apex. I should have been much wider.
