Has infiniti actually fixed the issue on the newer OEM replacement parts or any off brands hitachi or airtex? I fear if I spend 300.00 on parts it's just going to go back to the same issue in no time at all.

I'm talking about the senders themselves are they prone to just keep failing. Basically I'm trying to justify to buying 300.00 in parts that are going to possibly just fail again or just trust my trip meter for the rest of my ownership of the vehicle. Because I can do the install myself but I don't like lighting my money on fire.

I have the same problem as well but most of the guys on the g forums who had them done under warranty never stated they had the issue again. Both units were replaced.

I'm debating on this myself. I'm considering getting the driver side unit for $100 and hope for the best.

I'm sure they fixed the problem as newer models don't have any issues. My FX has 150k km and never had anything done to the fueling system.

yeah a lot of the non oem brands state that they have fixed all the issues that were wrong with the old ones. I think I might give it a shot. plus they still have a warranty.
