Front windshield wiper size

Hey everyone..

I am looking to purchase some new wiper blades for the FX, I used to have Bosch ICONS on all of my cars, and I would get an inch or two bigger to maximize coverage. So I was wondering if anyone had tried 22" on the passenger side along with 24" for driver side on the FX? I just wanted to double check before I order them online.

Also, has anyone tired Trico Neoforms on the FX? What are your opinions/impressions?

Thanks

You might look at Rain-X Latitude

My stock blades on my new FX50 were WORTHLESS! I shopped around and talked to some auto parts guys at Checker and PepBoys and they said they'd had good customer reviews about the Rain-X Latitude blades. The fitment guide says my car should use 22" on the drivers side, and I was a little concerned because the stockers measured nearly 23.5 ", but I bought them anyway and they've been great! Washers froze up last night on the way to the airport in 3 degree farenheit weather, but the wipers still cleared enough gunk to get me home. Don't know about the '07 design, but the '09 mounts are offset below the blade instead of right on top, like most replacement brands (incl. Trico). An inch or so less coverage, but so far, working well! Good Luck!

I know the stock size should be 22" on the driver side, and 20" on the passenger side..
I can probably switch the driver side (22") to the passenger side (originally 20") to see how it fits..
But I still need a 24" to test fit the driver side, to make sure that the two won't hit in the middle.. Now where can I find a 24" for free? Cause it wouldn't make too much sense to buy a 24" blade just to test fit..

So..last night I took a measuring tape and measured the gap between the 2 wipers in the middle of the windshield, the right end of the passenger side wiper to the edge of passenger side windshield and top of the windshield on the driver side to the reach of the end of wiper.

I am now absolutely sure that 24" driver side, 22" passenger side wiper will fit.

So to those who are thinking to go bigger in wiper blades (like myself) You can use this as reference in the future..

Off to order some Trico Neoforms..

Hey guys,

I ve got Bosch Windshield wipers and they are so far good.
The only thing during winter with frost the windshield cleaning-fluid was frozen and so i could not clean my windows:mad.:, this has off course nothing todo with Bosch but with the frozen fluid in the sprayunit.
How is such a thing possible?
And more important what is the solution?:nerd (2):

Maybe one of the last few places that refilled your windshield washer fluid diluted the washer fluid with water?

sorry for the slow reaction on your remark.
But the fluid I used came out of a can i bought in the store and garantees -20 degrees celcius. But it was cheap and maybe not of a good consistence?

don't know if anyone has brought this up before...but would i need a flat blade or a curved blade? i'm leaning towards trying one of the PIAA models but noticed that the silicone based models are typically flat. I assume this would work?

the model i was considering:

(cheaper on amazon though)

thanks for the help!

I've got the bosh icons now, but going to try the rain-x latitude blade. My gf just got them, they are really quiet and streak free.
