Front speaker issues

Hi all!

Started having issues with my front speakers lately. The font passenger speakers turn off, and the driver side tweeter starts to make a static type sound. I took my car to a local car audio shop and told me the speakers check out ok, and I most likely the factory amplifier is going out. Any of you had related issues? I have an isimple installed, and it requires me to increase the volume a lot louder than normal (which could have started the issue in the first place)

I'm debating if I should cough up $250 or so for a used factory amp, or buy an aftermarket amp (most likely Alpine) to better the sound from the stock speakers.

This is a known issue. It is actually your stock headunit causing this problem, not the amp. Only correction is a new hu.

Ohh no :shock: This sounds like a more expensive/complicated repair than replacing the stock amplifier. I'm out of the Infiniti warranty period, but still have a warranty under the bank. Do you happen to know the price to replace the headunit?
