Flx-Paint? Did it go out of business?

I was wondering if anyone made custom color car vinyls and such and came across a great idea... Flx-paint.

These guys pretty much paint a vinyl and have them in many different oem colors and very glossy candy colors. Pretty much its paint that is applied like vinyl. It has a clear coat and everything.

I was really hoping I could get it in the GTR Super Silver color and wrap my fx to hide my flaws in my paint and give her a nice shine with protection.

It seems though that they are out of business, their blog is up but not their real site.

Heres what I found:

Pretty awesome idea really.

Anyone heard of them or a company like them? Any info?

Thanks everyone!

Looking at it, it's just vinyl. Several other companies make metallic and candy vinyls, just check out eBay. When they came out, they were probably the only game in town with that many colors, now you can get the same result in traditional vinyl. Plus I have some skepticism about their claims that they could paint vinyl and clear coat it. Automotive paint and clear coat doesn't really stretch as well as vinyl. I'm guessing there were some durability issues. I can also see some problems with the install. With current vinyls, the color is cast into the material. Even then, if you stretch it too much, the color will get messed up. This is even more apparent with the candy, glossy, and metallic vinyls. If the color is laid on top of the vinyl and not actually permeated through, I can only imagine what happens when you stretch it.

Plus all of the web stuff on the company looked like their own press releases, no real discussion from people who used it.
