Hi guys,

I have a 2005 FX35 and it's a RWD.
I'll perform all the Fluid Change proactively.
I'm new in the SUVs world and AWD, RWD (coming from FWD).
I know i have to Change the Transmission and differential fluid
As per Manual:
Automatic transmission fluid — — — Genuine NISSAN Matic J ATF*4
Differential gear oil — — — API GL-5 Viscosity SAE 80W-90*7
Something that call my attention is transfer Fluid does my car have it since it's a RWD?
Transfer fluid — — — Genuine NISSAN Matic D ATF (Continental U.S. and Alaska) or Canada NISSAN Automatic Transmission Fluid*8

Sorry about my English I'm from Panama :D

Regards,
AR

I don't know if Matic J is made anymore, Matic S supersedes it but is fully backwards compatible. If you have issues finding Matic S, any JASO A1 fluid is fine. I use Mobil 1 right now and have for the last 25K miles without issue.

I used this one, if you look at the spec sheet it says it meets JASO 1A. Matic S is made by Castrol I believe and just rebranded by Nissan. Matic J was a blend and Matic S is full synthetic (so is Mobil 1).
