I purchased the Yakima 1600 roof top cargo box and the Whispbar lo profile cross rails. First of the rails are nicely made and are a perfect fit, only thing is they sit flush...and when putting on the cargo box there is just enough room for the holders to clear ( actualy touches the roof ) no problem with the rear. With the box on and doing 100 down the freeway there is a little noise, not too bad.. Millage did suffer about 10 percent. but i had the car full of gear so way mor weight than usual. The hatch does open almost 100 percent but does hit the rear tail light housing. The box worked great.....held my stroller< beach chairs and umbrella, and a tent. well when i took it off i noticed there were some stress cracks in the plastic covers on the front and rear rails. another person we went with said the box was flexing front to back from the wind. this would have probably done the damage. Now our rails hold 100 lbs, the Whispbar cross rails are about 8 lbs each, box is 40. i probably over stuffed the box a bit, not a ton.happy with the storage, unhappy with the damage. Wife wants a new VW Toureg (2012 ) they have more room, but they are 65k. so ill keep the fx and replace the plastic pices that broke.....anyone else have any damage from this/
