Got a great deal on a G35 system. It came without tips. But get this...I went to my muffler shop this morning to look for substitute tips and the guy says. "I have these tips from Invidia. Do you want them?"

WIN!

I love the sound it makes. Deep and smooth at low revs and roars with a hint of that VK sound when stepping on it.

Geez you just keep getting lucky don't you!?!? First the custom brembos now random invidia tips laying around an exhaust shop. Either way they look nice and +1 for polishing but if you come back and tell us that you go out to your fx tomorrow and your tips had been polished by a random stranger for free cuz didn't like the dull look I'm never reading another one of your post ever again! :p

Unfortunately, I had to pass on the Brembo's. They were a great price but needed more tlc/maintenance than I was prepared for. Hopefully they'll end up with someone who will do them right.
 
I tried to polish the tips today so that they are worthy of IS. That crud was caked on pretty good. Will work on a video tomorrow. Happy new year!
 
^ I did. Started with some oven cleaner (SS safe) inside and out. That took most of the junk off. After that I went at it with some SS polish (manually). It's shiny, but not mirror-like yet. Next i'll attack with polish and a buffing pad. Pics to come.
