Just wanted to share my experience after installing a CarPlay/Android Auto module in my 2015 Infiniti Q50. I used this unit:

Install was pretty straightforward — no cutting wires or anything permanent. It retains the original screen and functions, and now I’ve got wireless CarPlay working perfectly.
The system boots quickly, audio quality is solid (uses factory AUX), and I can still switch back to the OEM interface if I want.
