Filming for FF7

So up until like 2 weeks ago, I didn't even know there would be a Fast and Furious 7. Honestly when the first one came out way back in the day, I never thought they'd get to 2. But I saw on the news that they had shut down some roads to film out in the suburbs and thought it was cool they were in Atlanta. Today, just got a notice from the building where I work that they have to shut down random roads around us because they're filming FF7 in downtown. It's apparently for some night time action scenes.

For some reason I thought that was cool. I almost had my car as an extra in the 2nd movie a long time ago, was at the casting call and everything. But it was too similar to the blue Maxima in the first one. A lot of my friends had their cars in the movies though.

nice but am I'm not a car enthusiasts if FF7 = Final Fantasy 7, comes to mind? Damn those SNES games back in the days..

It got sped up, and they had to get a new director. I still need to watch 6, still not out on DVD or whatever, but in England it is.

I thought #6 was good. Watched last Sunday with Andrew (AeroBFA) and my kids before he took off to boot camp. There a little "add-on" at the very end that seems to lead into how #7 going to start. Interesting! For those that follow this sequel, don't you all have always wonder how #3 Tokyo Drift doesn't follow the story? We'll see.

Tokyo Drift does fit in right? It's set after, since Vin Diesel shows up at the end as a guy who knew Han. I think these recent movies better explain Tokyo Drift.

I haven't watched 6 yet, I'm looking forward to it though. I'm curious where 7 is set, I read they were filming in Abu Dhabi and now GA. They're only here because of the crazy tax credits GA offers to movies and TV (my son's daycare has been the scene of like 3 big movies over the last few years). Nothing like having to show ID to get into daycare because "Denzel" is on set...I think they're filming at night so you can't tell what city it's in.

I think that all the main characters left after 1 and 2 because they thought 3 would flop. It's why they changed all the characters. Then they realized that 3 might do well and stuffed Vin Diesel in at the very end for a cameo. So 3 almost has nothing to do with any of the others.
