Fender trim removal?

Once you roll the fenders those clips are useless. Cut them or break them it doesn't matter. I just shaved them clean and used industrial shtuff to re-adhere flush. Even if you remove the trim, then roll, the clips become useless.

I use 3M tape to hold the trim on. Once you roll, the metal lip is now in the same space once occupied by the clips so there's no way to keep them. I suppose if you trimmed the lip, you could keep them.

Any pictures or before and after? I don't have access to my car as its in the body shop but I know im gonna need to do this once I get it back and mount up the gtr wheels I have.

I don't have any pictures but... Basically you are replacing 4 push clips on each side of the black trim with 3M or some type of adhesive. Hard to explain without being in front of it. With the rear trim removed and during rolling the fender you will get why the clips become useless. The edge of the fender that gets rolled up blocks the hole where the clip would normally go into.

Here is a picture from Andrew's garage

I did mine the same way with 3M trim tape, still holding up just fine after 2 years.
