Did my Fender Roll. Hooked up with Shane today. Some of you Old timers might remember his most amazing bagged G. Went by 'ShanesG'.

He has a PDR business & does really clean work. He looked at the options, and then set out on it. Only needed rears done. Since it's the inside edge and uneven, there was no point in using the roller. He manually pounded the lip up flat and also trimmed the plastic. We only lost one clip (intentional), but the others on the ends hold the trim just fine. Heat gun was also used to minimize any paint damage to folded edge. Happy

Wow, your wheel well must be very clean and dirt/debris free. He stick his head in the pounded the lip without having his goggle?

I'd rather not blurb out loud.

Notice how the plastic is trimmed . . & no cracks on the fold. Working in the dark upside down. Dude rocks

I remember ShanesG from the G35 forums. Car was incredible, I believe the wheels are still for sale if anyone could run those crazy offsets.

Did he do anything about the hump under the rear door? It can rub there. I rolled my fenders with an Eastwood myself, but had a shop try and hammer out the bump. It was too thick and even a big hammer couldn't do anything to it.

Never thought to trim the plastic with snips. Seems easier to do than holding a floppy piece of plastic in one hand and an angle grinder in another.

The bump's been pounded down pretty good. Lots of clearance at my height. I think.
Even if I still might rub (which I dont know yet), at least there's nothing sharp there.. He didnt bother with the roller cuz he said we'd have to keep resetting it. He mallets pretty well anyway.
I dont understand why some of the guys in the past would actually grind the metal down. Rolling is cleaner & stronger anyway
