Fading trim TSB

Cuz it's a bit of work to change them out, costing mucho bucks. Most people dont get it done (probably 1 outa every 100 or more), & they bet on that. It's also not a safety issue. Seems logical why they havnt recall'd them.

Yeah bought it from a dealer. I don't understant why Infiniti hasn't issued any recall for this when they know that it's a known issue.

Lmao, the very first line of this thread:
So let me get this straight... there's a KNOWN issue about my particular FX with fading trim around the windows, and it won't be fixed unless I pay for it???

So I agree, whole-heartedly. Overall Infiniti service

(I do understand there's exceptions, but they're extremely few and far between)

Pm'd her a while ago,but haven't heard from her yet :frown:
Try calling here this week then, maybe see haven't been on line for a while.....

Call her - I listed her direct number on the thread we created for her.....Im @ work now so I cant really look for it. But do a search for CHeryl and im sure you'll find it.

I have bubbling dash around vents and faded trim as well. Anyone used baker infiniti in Charleston, SC? I had some maintenance done there a while back and was impressed. What's the fuel hose recall? I haven't seen that one.

How do you know if your on car this has been done, when you bought it second hand...??
And when this "problem"occures do you smell fuel gasses or such...??

Just have to goto the the dealer and have them punch your VIN in the computer and it will show all the TSB's and recalls that have been done on your FX.

You can check TSB's and recalls here on your specific model year FX.

the trim and interior dash was covered by warranty for some members. Looks like your 04 may be out of warranty. You can also try to have the dealer replace those at the dealer if you have been going there for a while and they do it under good faith.

Is the window trim covered under Extended Warrenty? I was turned down my Fields Infiniti here in IL and they said it is no longer covered. Plus, I also notice that the Windshield trim the protective coating is peeling.

out of 5 dealerrs tey all said no, they only replaced the upper door window trim..thats it.

i got turned down in canada because they said my car was from the u.s. and on top of that the trim probably faded from hot car wax due to car wash... ya right. my warranty is up now anyways.
